# Export your data

> Download your transactions, accounts, month-end balances and who each shared cost was for, as spreadsheet files you keep, from the web app.

You get a ZIP of four CSV files (transactions, accounts, balances and shares), from the web app. It's free, with or without a subscription.

**1. Open Export**

At [app.recontrol.money](https://app.recontrol.money), open your menu, then **Your account**, then **Export your data** (or <kbd>⌘</kbd><kbd>K</kbd>, **Export your data**). The phone doesn't export.

**2. Choose the space, and tap Export**

Or **Export every space**: one ZIP, a folder each.

| File | Holds |
| - | - |
| `transactions.csv` | Every transaction: date, From, To, amount, currency, note |
| `accounts.csv` | Every account, category and source, with today's balance |
| `balances.csv` | Each account's balance at every month's end |
| `shares.csv` | In a space you share, who each cost was for: the transaction, the person, their weight and their share of the amount |

Dates are in the space's time zone. It holds what your role lets you see. For only some transactions, filter a register and choose **Export CSV** in its ⋯, or select rows and choose **Export CSV**.
