# Record what your company owes you

> In a company's space, record a cost you paid yourself, then the company paying you back.

For a business whose people pay some of its costs themselves: hosting on a founder's card, a client's lunch. A space made for **A Small Team** keeps what it owes each of you. Another shared space can choose **Studio Pays Us Back** (your space's name) under [**Who Pays Back?**](https://recontrol.money/docs/features/shared-costs.md#who-pays-back), but only before anyone's money is recorded.

## A cost you paid

**1. Tap +**

On Home in the company's space, or in **Shared Costs**.

**2. Type the amount and answer What was it?**

**3. Choose From and To**

**From** lists **Who Paid** first: **You**, or whoever paid. **To** is the category.

**4. Tap Add**

There's no **For**: the whole cost is the company's. Home and **Shared Costs** now read **Studio Owes You · \$50**.

## The company pays you back

Recontrol records the repayment; send the money from the company's bank first. Then, in **Shared Costs**, tap **Record Repayment · \$50** under **Actions**. It fills **To** with you and **From** with the company's account when it has only one. Check them and tap **Add**.

On the web, it's in the page's **Actions** menu. To record someone else's, tap + with the company's account in **From** and them, under **Who Got It**, in **To**.
