Security, question by question.
Can Recontrol move my money?
No. It's read-only: there are no payments or transfers, and its bank connections can only read.
What about passwords?
Recontrol needs none of yours: you sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your email. Your bank password goes only to Plaid's or Zerodha's own page, and never reaches Recontrol.
How is my data protected, and where?
Encrypted in transit and at rest, on Amazon Web Services in the US; bank connection tokens are encrypted a second time. See how it's secured and where it's stored.
Who do I share my data with?
Only the people you invite to a space, and only what's in that space.
Is my data sold, or used for ads?
No. Subscriptions pay for Recontrol. Your data is never sold, and there are no ads.
Does AI see my data?
Only once you turn it on. Chat sends Anthropic your question and the figures it needs, never your name or account numbers. Your AI tool, once connected, sends what it reads to its provider (AI and your data).
Can I take my data, or delete it?
Yes, yourself, at any time: export a ZIP of four CSV files (transactions, accounts, balances and shares), from the web app, or delete your account in either app.
