Why isolation matters
Without isolation, personal and shared finances bleed into each other. Recontrol solves this with hard boundaries: a member of your household space cannot see your personal accounts, and your personal transactions have no effect on the household ledger. This is not a view filter. It is a data boundary. Accounts, transactions, roles, and memberships are all strictly scoped to the space they were created in.Personal vs. shared spaces
Every user gets a Personal space on sign-up. It is private by default — no one else can be added to it. You can create additional Shared spaces and invite other people to them, with full control over what each person can see and do via Collaboration.Spaces as the unit of collaboration
When you share a space, you are choosing to share an entire financial context — not a single account or transaction. Everyone in the space sees the same accounts and the same real-time balances. This makes spaces the right unit for households, partnerships, and groups. For practical details — how to create, manage, and invite people to spaces — see Features: Spaces.
