Budgets are coming soon. This page will be updated when the feature is available.
A budget lets you set a spending limit on one or more expense accounts for a given period — weekly, monthly, or custom — and see at a glance how your actuals compare.

How budgets work

  1. Choose the expense accounts you want to budget for.
  2. Set a limit and a period (e.g. ₹10,000 per month for Groceries).
  3. Recontrol aggregates all transactions flowing into those accounts during the period and compares them to your limit.
Because budgets read directly from your transaction history, they are always accurate. There is no separate entry step and nothing to reconcile.

Budget vs. actuals

The core view is simple: Overruns are shown in red. Progress within limit is shown in green. That is the whole feature — no scoring, no projections, no nudges.
