A goal is some accounts with a target and, usually, a month. On assets it saves up; on liabilities it pays down. An account is in one goal at a time. To set one, see Save toward a goal.

The verdict

A goal is judged by the money you put in, averaged over up to three complete months. A market move isn’t money put in. With no month, it says when this pace gets there. When it can’t tell yet, it says why. There’s no score.

The screen

  1. What’s saved, with the verdict: “On track. At this pace, Sep 2033.”
  2. This Goal: Target, By, Still to Save.
  3. Each Month: Needed beside Added, and Put In ₹X for a hand-kept account.
  4. Assumptions: your growth and inflation, and Your Plan, whose Gets There follows your plan rather than what you’ve put in.
  5. History, Where It’s Kept, and every transaction.
Recontrol never suggests a rate.

Done or archived

Done or Archive, in ⋯, moves it to Archived Goals and frees its accounts. Bring Back returns it while its accounts are free. Members who can see goals are told when one is reached. Nothing is sent when one falls behind.
